European University Games 2022 (EUSA)
In the days from 26.07 – 31.07.2022, the EUSA tournament took place in the Polish city of Lodz. Sára Krivdová and Dominik Imrich represented our club and universities in tough competition from all over Europe.
Slovakia was represented by Sára Krivdová among the 20 competitors in the women’s kumite category up to 68 kg.
Sára Krivdová – kumite U21 -68kg, 17 competitors
1st round free, in the 2nd round she won 2:1 over the Kosovar QERIMI VLERE, in the 3rd round she won 4:2 over the representative from Belgium BOUGRINE NESRINE, in the 4th round she won 4:3 over the representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina RAHMANOVIC ILMA, where she fought her way to the final in which she fought against the Ukrainian SIELIEMIENIEVA ELIN. After a very close loss 4:4 on the sensch, Sára took the overall 2nd place and thus takes home the silver.
Dominik Imrich represented Slovakia among the 20 representatives in the men’s category under 60 kg.
He won the 1st round 4:1 against the Ukrainian KINDRAT LIUBOMYR, in the 2nd round he won to the flags against the competitor from Poland ADAMETZ MATEUSZ, in the 3rd round he lost against the competitor from Turkey OZDEMIR BURAK, but he advanced to the final and thus gave Dominik a chance in the repechage fight at least for bronze.
In the 1st round of the repechage, Dominik successfully defeated the representative from Ireland POWER HIEU on points 4:1, in the 2nd round of the repechage, he won on flags against the representative from France, GIRAUD JEREMY, taking 3rd place overall and taking home the bronze.
